The pile integrity test (PIT) is often used in piles cast in the ground and also concrete precast, to establish the variation of concrete’s quality, damage or structural failure, along the depth of foundation piles, as well as to determine and confirm the length of the pile.

CONVENCIONAL “HEAD-DOWN” STATIC LOADING TEST
The test consists, basically, of applying load increments to the pile by jacking against a reaction with one or more hydraulic jacks and recording the corresponding movements. The effort applied can be axial, traction or compression, or cross-section.
